Your Rent and Mr WU - Renting |

There’s a lot of growling about rents. As they are revised they
reflect the famous indice du coût de la construction (ICC) which has
been spiralling for some time. This is partly, in fact, another
instance of “the China syndrome”.
As Chinese demand for building
materials – and notably steel – increases so the cost of the items used
to calculate the ICC goes up – and so, automatically, do rents. The
only advice I can give is that in most markets there’s no future in
renting. Try to buy.
