What about an “improving” day out with the family this weekend? Better do the sums first. Our colleague Peter Bausch of Riviera Côte d’Azur Zeitung has been looking at entrance fees at local attractions and how they’ve risen since the arrival of the euro.  

Marineland, for example, has hiked its prices by up to 60% (adults now pay €28, kids €21); Monaco’s Oceanographic Museum has become 20% dearer in three years (now adults pay €11, kids €6).
