Purse Stolen in Shop Print
Written by Riviera Reporter

Don’t look at us!

Fiona in Biot had her purse stolen in a supermarket. The management was “not very sympathetic" and even told her she “ought to be more careful." Has she any claim against the supermarket or its security service? None at all, I’m afraid. The security guys are there to catch shoplifters (a full-time job!) and the store has no liability at all in respect to victims of thieves on the premises.
