Okay, this magazine isn’t big on the yaartz but some things do need to be mentioned. This year marks the centenary of the death of painter Paul Cézanne. Across the summer from June 9th until September 17th the Musée Granet in Aix-en-Provence will host a major commemorative exhibition. For further information consult the city tourist office’s website at www.aixenprovencetourism.com or call 04 42 16 11 61.

Can’t be bothered to go all the way to Aix but think you need a cultural fix? Easy – just log on to www.louvre.fr. Much of the Paris museum’s collections have been put online and the recently upgraded site makes for quite an experience.
