Tracy Stanley of the European Professional Women’s Network informed us of a name change. “In January, the Sophia Professional Women's network became the European Professional Women's Network Nice Côte d'Azur. This was an important move to reflect the growth and reach of our organisation.”

EuropeanPWN Nice-Cote d'Azur is affiliated with EPWN – a blanket organisation for professional women’s networks across Europe with a community of 3000 members of well-educated management level business women from both the corporate and entrepreneurial sectors. A vibrant non-profit organisation, it aims to create positive work environments for professional women and the corporations they work for. The local chapter (formally SophiaPWN) was founded in 1999 in Sophia Antipolis by women of Amadeus, Texas Instruments and the Open University Business School and has 60 members representing 18 nationalities. Now drawing members from Monaco to the Var, the network is involved with Board Women Monitor, Women Leading Change Drive and Entrepreneurs programs.
