As we recorded earlier, the Scottish Club, the Auld Alliance, folded after some quite successful years. Over the years there have been one or two attempts to launch a Welsh Club here, all without success. We recall especially a Dr Thomas, once of Antibes and formerly of Porton Down, who failed to inject many other local Welsh with his enthusiasm. But thanks now to Moelwyn Harris who tells us that an organisation called Wales United has a website intended to bring together Welsh people wherever they be. That’s at www.walesunited.com. Finally, we’ve heard nothing recently from Aussies on the Riviera – maybe they’ve dropped their message stick down a water-hole. Thanks then to Maree McCrystal for alerting us to www.australiansabroad.com, a website for Australians abroad.
